RESIN:
For resin casts we use exclusively Specialty Resin polyurethane 2 part products! We have used this since we started in 2011 (and we bought our resin off of ebay!) They now have a comprehensive website and often 10% off first orders! Below are the list of resins we use in our bases!
Note that all of these resins cast within about 5-8 minutes once mixed making for swift casting sessions!

Fabri-cast casts bright white. Great for clean first layers in a mask, bright white teeth or anything you need to look super white and clean. This is the least viscous resin of all of the resins here. But not by much.

We use Model-Pro as filler layers. Since we cast so much, we order 2 gallons of each of these colors. This resin is a little more viscous than the fabri-cast. For a new artist you do NOT need to order this unless you want to achieve a more off-white bone color in your cast!

Model-Pro black is what we use on all of our black casts! It casts a gorgeous pure black color. We use this resin on inside layers to achieve a clean, classy, dark inside mask look. We also use this for raven bases or noses that need to be cast black. I like to make sure I mix filler into these layers to ensure the dye mixes evenly and doesn't leave marbled streaks in the cast (which is rare).

We use this for all of our translucent (NOT TRANSPARENT) pieces. Such as, Mixed with white and yellow to make realistic teeth color, mixed with other colors to make beak colors. and casting translucent claws! This is not entirely necessary unless you need to have a fast curing colored resin item! It DOES NOT CAST PURE CLEAR. It always casts looking cloudy.

Resin "filler":
We always keep "glass microspheres" filler around at all times. We use this in layers just to help slightly offset weight. It has a white tint to it so consider if you mix it into colored resin it will lighten the color of the colored resin. This has no effect in any other of the resin types as they already cure completely opaque. This filler also helps make layers mix even better such as with black dyed resin. I NEVER use fumed silica filler or any filler besides glass microspheres. I always order the System three brand! Resin filler is not entirely necessary for beginner resin casting.
